InsightSquared’s Mission To Be A Place Where Employees Would Rather Be Than Anywhere Else Is Truly Award-Winning

Cambridge, MA – November 26, 2013 – InsightSquared, the award-winning provider of Salesforce Analytics software for small and midsize companies, has been recognized by The Boston Globe in the annual list of “Top Places to Work” in Massachusetts.  Based on employee survey results, InsightSquared was ranked among the top 10 small companies to work for in the entire state.

Here are a just a few things employees had to say about working at InsightSquared:

  • InsightSquared has really been a dream job for me. Not only is the work exciting and challenging, but I have had the opportunity to direct my career path by exploring interests outside of the traditional designer role. I love that this company allows their employees to focus on more than what is in their job description.” – Kiley S.
  • I’ve never seen a company where this high a percentage of workers try as hard as ours do. Everyone here gives 100%. We all go above and beyond. It’s truly an amazing thing to be a part of.” – Joe C.
  • One of our CEO’s goals when founding InsightSquared was to make an environment where people would want to be more than anywhere else. After hours “Squares”, as we refer to one another, can be found doing everything from playing regular pickup soccer, softball, frisbee and basketball games to running and cross-training together.” – Kim L.

“Every startup has a ‘work hard, play hard’ philosophy, but at InsightSquared we strive to make the working environment top-notch and making the office a place where employees would like to be, even during off-hours,” said Fred Shilmover, CEO of InsightSquared. “I’m inspired by my team every day, and we’re all honored to be recognized as one of the top places to work by The Boston Globe.”

The Boston Globe’s 2013 Top Places to Work survey, conducted by employee survey firm WorkplaceDynamics, measured more than 76,000 individuals’ responses to statements regarding six key factors related to employee happiness, including company direction, execution, employee connection, work load and responsibility, management, and pay and benefits. Least important were pay, benefits and work-life balance, with survey subjects placing much higher importance on employee appreciation, confidence and feeling that their work is meaningful.

“As our economy continues to heal, most of the benchmarks for progress are purely quantitative, such as increased pay rates and expanded benefits packages,” said Boston Globe Business Editor Mark Pothier. “While there is definite value in these indicators, many signs of recovery cannot be boiled down to pure economics. The companies on our Top Places to Work list foster productivity and innovation by investing in the happiness of their employees, which cannot solely be measured in dollars and cents.”
